R & R Bagels was founded by two bagel enthusiasts who met right here in Hong Kong, before being taken over by Foodpreneur Jonny Rees, owner of sister cafes Blend & Grind and Chief’s Blend.

Having spent many hours trying every single bagel in Hong Kong - and as many bemoaning the lack of a ‘proper’ Bagel shop in the SAR - it was decided that action needed to be taken and promptly set about creating R&R.

Not satisfied that the bagels on offer here were amongst the very best in the world, the founders took their research further afield; taking in the best the USA has to offer by sampling, testing and even rolling Bagels in Los Angeles, San Francisco and, of course, New York City.

Armed with all of the information gleaned from visiting some of the finest Bagel institutions in the world, there was a clear vision of exactly what was needed to bring to the people here in Hong Kong.

Always with high standards and not satisfied with simply opening a store without expert opinion from food lovers in Hong Kong; prior to opening we invited select food critics to attend a tasting evening and give independent feedback. The results were phenomenal and validated all of their wishes for what R&R was about to become.

What you see before you today is the result of hours of meticulous planning, attention to detail and the ambition to bring an idea to life.

The Bagels on offer in our stores are baked according to our own recipe, and were developed over hundreds of hours of testing and perfecting our dough to ensure that R&R provides some of the best Bagels - not only in Hong Kong - but the world.

R&R Bagels was opened at 28 Li Yuen Street West in Central on 11th July 2016. We have created a business that is very quickly establishing itself as one of Hong Kong’s finest food and beverage brands with the very best standards of customer service.

R&R Bagels now has three cafes across Hong Kong; R&R Bagels Quarry Bay was launched on 9th December 2019 at 1/F, Devon House, Taikoo Place; and R&R Bagels Wan Chai quickly followed on 2nd March 2020 at 1/F, 28 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai.
